Half-Way-Home is located at 7440 E. 22nd Street between Kolb and Prudence. We have (2) 3-bedroom units and (2) 2-bedroom units. These units have been remodeled and the girls live very comfortably. The girls will either share a room with one other girl or can have a room to themselves, depending on how much they want to pay. For a private room, the cost is: $500/mo and if they share with one other girl, it is: $450/mo. This includes food, utilities and we have laundry facilities for their use. We get food from the food bank, which they prepare themselves. The units are inside the building with a locked door to the entrance. This is to keep them safe from anyone getting to their doors. We also have surveillance cameras to monitor their coming and going. They are required to sign in and out each time they leave the property. A curfew of 8:00pm on all nights but 2, which are for our meetings  and they must be in by 6:45pm on those nights. They can get special permission to stay out later, if staff approves.  Our rules are pretty basic and they will live in a nice structured, supportive environment as long as they follow the rules. We have a zero tolerance here, so the consequence for using is they must pack and leave immediately. They will forfeit any monies paid and will not be allowed back into the program for at least 2 weeks. We work hand-in-hand with Probation and Parole to make sure they have access to the units at any time. We will provide them with a key to the outside door, upon request.
